The Tour starts from the jetty at Pointe Jerome where you will cruise in crystal clear lagoon of the east coast to your first visit which will be Ile aux Mariannes, a natural reserve where you will learn about the fauna and flora of the island. Learn also about its dramatic yet beautiful story.
Further down you will stop at Ile aux Phares (Lighthouse Island) which is a small island but of great scenic beauty that makes it stand out. Its historical connotations enhance the splendour of this exquisite small island and make it furthermore appealing to visitors to want to discover the secrets that lie within the island. The island was a military base for the French during the colonial time (1799-1815) to protect the island from invasions. The Fortifications on the island are historical monuments. As the island is set almost on the reefs it is a unique spot to take pictures.
We will pass by Ile de la Passe with also hold a great importance in the history of Mauritius as it was the prominent hording both English and French troupes in early times. The fortifications that are there are the oldest and best preserved on the island. They have witnessed the battles of power in the colonization of the islands in the Indian Ocean.
We will then proceed our trip to Ile aux Aigrettes, a natural reserve where time will be allowed for swimming in crystal clear water. The snorkelling session will be done just after at Trou Moutou with is one of the best places to see the marine life.
The last stop will be at Ile Aux Cerfs where a delicious BBQ lunch consisting of Fish and chicken will be served to you along with fresh beers, soft drinks, local rum
